Re: performance brake callipers
You do not need to go the expense of Harrison and the like. If you fit floating discs and Nissin 4 pot brake calipers from Bandits and the like you will have a bike that will squeal the front tyre fairly easily. You should fit the master cylinder from the same type of machine and you will need adapt...

Re: 530 x 140 chain
Any half decent dealer can buy them at any length. The distributors hold 200 ft rolls and will cut to any size. It will need to be an even number, not an odd number or it will never rejoin. The C clip is your real issue. Everything I am aware of that is any good in 530 comes with rivet links.

Re: Contemporary 650 report
Some of know how great the Z650 was and still is. Why it has never reached the later demand of other 4's and triples when it was an iconic but much better bike of its time... remains an enigma

Re: Clock faces
The easy bit is finding them. The hard part is splitting and rejoining the clocks in order to fit them. Someone on here used to offer that service, but I cant recall who. Doubtless someone will know if the service still available though

Re: YUASA BATTERY STOCKISTS
I didn't see it Dave, but it still sounds like they are dancing around illegality there.
Unless the battery is sealed tamperproof it should not be sent out with acid in it. The law is very, ver clear on that. Whether you or I agree with the law is irrelevant of course - it is what it is

Re: YUASA BATTERY STOCKISTS
Do not forget it is now illegal to mail/courier any batteries with acid packs, and pretty much no dealers (even if they have acid) will fill other peeps batteries. You would do better to buy from as local a dealer as you can, they are only supposed to be sold filled and ready to go but surely that'...

Re: Crankcase breather modification when fitting K&N pods
On my ZRX12 I fitted a K&N breather filter and never saw any issue with either clogging or with a smell of oil vapour.
On other bikes I simply vented the breather to below the engine in the gap between swingarm and crankcase. Both solutions work perfectly well.

Re: Top shock mount extensions
Yeah, mine is a 650, and I have a Zephyr 400 swingarm. I only need to extend my current frame mounts by 25mm overall, that's the thing mate, not 25mm and then the thread if that makes sense ? I can get the shocks on with a spacer fitted on the frame side as it sits, but not enough room left on the t...

Re: Top shock mount extensions
I am interested, but is it possible to get a shorter set made up. Basically I need a set that just extends by maybe 25mm over the stock set up, or roughly the length of threaded portion again along with the back spacer I have a Zephyr swingarm and its only that much wider each side than stock. I hav...
