Re: Harirs Pipe Finish? help wanted
Either will work, paint will be around a tenner for a can of heatproof paint. Ceramic coating will look better but cost a few hundred quid ... Personally, I would paint it and look for a better one in chrome to come up

Re: Front break upgrade
The simplest way would be to shove a Z650C front end in. You can reuse your spoke wheel

Re: Ackro spring
I have used different springs on my Akrapovic system. There are loads on Ebay, just enter the length spring you want. They are used in the MX world a lot, so offroad dealers always have loads of different ones.

Wanna get rich fast ? - Here's how ....
I spotted this bike for sale a week or so back on Ebay at £3500 on a classified sale.... HERE I recalled the mag article about it and was half-toying with the idea of buying it. I do like different. Until today that is lol .... I get dealers need to make money - but surely this is one of the bigger ...

Re: Suzuki GT380?.
In the day, they were good bikes. They would wheelie well, the pegs and stands could be scraped and it stopped OK. Now I would say it was heavy, slow and handled poorly lol..but that is the march of time. Faults they had in addition to the normal ageing problems, were the nylon oil pump gear could s...
Re: Battery
You should not be able to buy a battery with a separate acid pack now. It has been illegal to sell them by mail-order or even over the counter since last June. They are all supposed to be factory sealed or filled and sealed at the supplying dealer. It is also illegal to send a lead/acid type that co...

Re: Mk2 twinshock swingarm options
The bottom one looks like a 550 Zephyr ? It'll go in, but will need machining work at the frame end, plus some plates making to stop the arm bearings sliding off the pivot axle. (The Zephyr frame fits flush to the arm which eliminates that happening. The Zed frame is not the same unfortunately) It w...

Re: Marzocchi vs ohlin
Ebay and rebuild. The company went to the wall years ago.
Even rebuild kits (which were available up to a couple of years back) are like hens teeth now. There are sources in Italy though (for the seals) if you can get hold of the shocks themselves

Re: Marzocchi vs ohlin
Its a bit like trying to compare the old Kawasaki H2 with the new one ....Strada's and Ohlins are chalk and cheese. Zocchi's look right on an old bike and can be made to handle OK if you rebuild 'em with modern suspension fluid - Ohlins are night and day better even out of the box, but look wrong on...

Re: Tyre sizes for Z650-B1
I have always run 100/90H-19 and 120/90Hx18 on my Z650's when using stock rims. I ran 'em back in the day and I ran them on my current bike prior to playing around with the front and back ends. There are no handling issues, and the tyres wear evenly. I cannot see a rear tyre much bigger than the one...
