Re: Engine crash bars
Hi Mark, Thanks for that, I do love the A1 for sure. I actually have three sets of wheels for it. When I got it it was wearing a set of really odd looking grey 5 spokes which I think are magnesium as they are very light but I didn’t like the look of them so I sourced the really nice set of all origi...

Re: Engine crash bars
Hi, No, they’re not the Tarrozzi items. I do have a set of those which I bought to use while I repaired and re chromed the originals. The ones on the bike as shown are very old and are similar in design to the Tarrozzi ones but are tubular all over and the welding is much nicer. I like the look of t...

Re: Engine crash bars
I have a set on my A1. I’ve always had the engine protection bars on it. In fact, when I got the bike, the set on it now we’re damaged and one of the brackets was broken so I bought a brand new set of the Tarrozzi bars while I repaired the originals and had them re chromed. The main difference betwe...

Re: DOT 5 Silicon Brake Fluid
I’ve been using DOT 5 in every one of my bikes for years, and still have it in all my bikes with hydraulic brakes. When I change over to DOT 5 I usually strip the system and clean thoroughly with meths and rebuild as usual then fill and bleed with the DOT 5. Only on one bike have I ever had a proble...

Hi Guyesdad,
I’ve got two of them, both exactly the same! Am I mad!??
Apologies upfront for discussing such a steed inappropriately on this forum!

Re: Iron curtain revisited.
As I’ve said I have two of them. Both identical in every way, one early one and one a little later. They’re a decent bike to ride and very comfortable! Re: New Project
Hi Bill P,
It often wanders out to the hope valley during the summer months as my lady wife is partial to a pint of a fine pale ale sat outside a scenic country pub and we’re often in Hope, Castleton etc.

Re: Iron curtain revisited.
I’m sorry to say but I have two CX500’s
One of them is probably the earliest known survivor and is frame number 22 fitted with engine number 28.
They are quirky but easy to ride!

He’s always done great work for me, top lad! He’s painted three or four complete bikes and I’ve been pleased every time!

Re: Z1000ST gasket set
I’ve used quite a lot of the NE Brand gasket sets and I’ve never had any problems at all.
The gaskets always look to be a good fit and nicely made.
