Valve/cam buckets wanted
Anyone have 8 valve/cam buckets they'd like to sell. Looked at mine and I'm still on the very early dimpled ones that should have been changed under warranty in 1973.
Nearly tempted to phone Kawasaki and ask if the recall is still valid !

Re: 1973 Z1-NOISE IN MOTOR
Ahhh....There you go. OPS = Oil Pressure Switch. OMG! Had a further look at the switch. Phillipe mentioned a mod that I was aware of suggested by Kawasaki for the very earliest switches. Further inspection revealed this to be one of those without the hole therein. I drilled a hole but problem remain...

Hi ,
Thanks for thoughts. Fallen down on acronym'OPS.'
Presumably these are the intake rubbers between cylinder head and carb body?

Re: Wanted- Z1 oil pressure switch
Hi Phillipe,
Yep Its got a hole in it. Switch was dodgy in so much as the brass central plunger /terminal section main part was making its way out of the nylon bushing. I knocked it back in and it started working again. Be daft not to replace switch for a known good one before further investigations
