Re: Z900 A4 or Z1 or even Z1000 plastic document tray

Z1 - Z1B shaped to fit the oval tail light. Z900A4-5 shaped to fit the more rectangular tail light which was also used on the Z650 and Z1000

Re: ZRX forks pre-load adjustment

Doesn't raise anything. Just preloads the forks so that they don't dive until the preset load is exceeded in my experience.
I put about an inch of pre load in my 650's and 900 & 1000.
I do like a stiffer front end and hate the fork dive of soft forks when braking.

Re: Z1000R2 side stand stopper

Ah OK, my J2 side stand uses the same mount bracket along with a seperate sprung loaded plate to operate the stand kill switch. It's quite a clever set up. The bike will start on side stand but unless the override switch is depressed as you lift the bike upright the stand will spring back about 15 d...

Re: Front brake problem

If you zoom right close on your picture there is a different coloured area central on the LH hole. Looks like it's rusted up. Get probing!

Re: Front brake problem

Pull a bristle from a wire brush and have a probe to ensure the holes in the mc are clear. You obviously need to be able to relief back into the mc or the brakes would stick on.
Where did you see the stream of micro bubbles coming from?

Re: Front brake problem

It's obviously working as it should or you wouldn't have had the small stream of bubbles appearing in the mc. There is obviously still air in the system. Make sure everything is tight so there's no chance of air binging sucked in on lever return the reverse bleed them using a serynge slowly to allow...

Re: Z1000R2 side stand stopper

Same set up on my J2. There's also a plate that controls the side stand override switch. With the bike on the side stand you can start the engine, if you lift the bike upright the side stand springs back a bout 15 deg and the side stand switch kills the engine unless your pressing the override switc...

Re: Z900 A4 fuel leak any ideas please?

Getting there. Think your next start attempt will prove more successful. Correct jets, needles, float heights, fuel level, plunger seals, airscrews 1.5 out and things should be different from last time! Just ensure no carb to head rubber leaks.
