1100R uses a unitrac engine, the 1000R is like the 1000j and gpz1100b2. Unitrac uses 18mm small ends against 17mm on the early bikes and has much lighter crankshaft webs. So no it wont be suitable.

1000j, gpz11, 1000/1100r RH Side Panel rough

Looking for a rough RH side panel for my gpz B2, I can get a new pattern one for £35.00 but looking to spend much less than that on something I can spray matt black. Its to save my nice panels and badges from boot marks when I use it on track, brackets etc unimportant. Cheers Dave

new toy

Bought this recently for general road riding while the gpz is in bits, hopefully do some trackdays on it too. Runs well and feels quite together, roads have been a bit slippery for a proper test but so far I like it alot. http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii548/pluto12341/Mobile%20Uploads/photo_zp...

I welded an impact socket on the end of a rear wheel spindle with no nut. To remove the rotor i attach the tool to an electric impact gun (from Clarkes tools a 400watt beast designed to remove wheel nuts, about £50) press the tighten button and off comes the rotor , I can lend the tool I made but w...

I think ive just answered my own question. Found 470-25 is a megacyle cam part number for cams suitable for gpz1100. 0.417" lift and 268deg duration. A road race cam for high comp pistons (+12:1 at least) which Im not sure I have.
Might just put some standard unitrac cams back in!

Hi and thanks for the responses, went back to the garage and had another look, found these numbers on the bit that the sprockets bolt to. The sprockets did have marks which lined up at tdc and were the required number of rivets apart. What do the numbers mean and are they suitable for a road / track...

Gpz1100 unitrac aftermarket cam identification

Hi All, Finally got a bit of time to look at a unitrac motor I bought in the summer, It has solid front engine mounts so I suspected it may have come out of a special or racer. Lifted the cam cover and all is well, but the non-original cams may confirm my initial thoughts. Does any one recognise the...
