I'll try to get there but doubt it will be on the Zed! Few other things in the way, but maybe?

Got me a Z1b (ish)!

Well, I finally got myself a Zed. It is a Z1b with 900A4 motor, gold hammerite frame (eeeuck), non-runner but reasonably tidy. Looks like I have a lot of work over the coming months and loadsa money but that's part of the fun isn't it? I'm going to try and get it running initially then probably do a...

Mikey, that's a bummer, we don't get that many dry days anyway at the moment. I find bike batteries are really crappy, even the expensive ones. A few weeks ago I decided to sell my little Hornet to raise some money to put towards a new Zed. I hadn't used it for nearly a year so I put a new battery o...

Z1b Motor

I'm looking for a Z1b motor, preferably complete and in good running order, although would consider anything. It would need to be within relatively easy reach of Bristol (is South West) unless you know of a courier willing to deliver heavy engines.

Anything going :?:

Looks like a great job. I love that colour scheme, thinking of the same one myself, or the earlier Z1 with bigger yellow tank panels, or maybe the brown and orange.....?? Choices Choices!!

To Stove or paint?

I've noticed that there seems to be some dispute over the merits of stove enamelling, esp on frames compared to painting. Can anyone tell me why? Is it the heating process involved in stoving or something else? Also what about wheels. I always understood that Stove enamelling is the preferred method...

Re: Z1000

Coldsummer, Can't help commenting...............the Z1000 was mine. The bike runs well, rides and stops well-and cost me quite a bit to build-as every one says-- you never get back the money you spend on projects-but the fun is in the buidling and that is what made it worth while. I sold it on e ba...

Reecy will be along soon to fill you all in. It was his bike, offered on here and sold on ebay . That would be interesting! Thanks for all your opinions. I agree with the general feeling that it is a bit too much money but then I guess it would be easy to sink that much into a project starting from...

Any opinions on this one?

http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/dealerservices_photoad.jsp?did=19492&pageid=1&id=200926336825583 Noticed this one at Chequered Flag and wondered what you more experienced guys think about it? First impressions are it's a bit pricey for a 'bitsa' but it seems to have been done quite well...
