Speedo accuracy
Since replacing the Speedo cable my Speedo has gone from optimistic to ridiculous. As I accelerate it will shoot up to 100 indicated. If it was a wear issue I’d expect to be slow not fast.

Well, I have replaced the pads, the feeder pipes as one had started to leak, new lever ( old one had an oval hole) & new fluid. Short run, no squeak. Need a good ride out but been away for work.

Can the drive be fitted in more than one position? That’s the only variable I can think of. The forks a sitting in the correct position. I’ll stick some pics up at the weekend. Just bought a new cable for my Z1a. At 33” it’s a tight fit. There is a small radius bend at the drive end which doesn’t look right This is the size I see as correct on several vendors. The one I replaced was 37”. Front end is std

Guy I know has just restored a 250 trophy. Very pretty, probably very slow. He also has a BSA Gold Star in for repair. Not the classic the 70’s steer scrambler. Very purple.

Brake squealing
My front brakes squeal like a stuck pig. Tried copper slip to no avail pads are old but have life left. Maybe a change of pads to new ones would fix. Any thoughts?
