Re: Forks 1100r
Yes filled extended, then pumped then removed the drain screw to release the pressure. I think extended is the correct way as I first filled them with the amount measured out which was spot on the 110mm. There is something wrong as way too hard they don’t budge an inch.

Re: Forks 1100r
Sorry do you mean the psi or the distance from the top of the oil to the top of the fork. No air (psi) and factory setting 110mm.

Re: Forks 1100r
No air gap and 10w oil. Sat on the bike there is little movement considering they are and old fork. Cheers

Forks 1100r
So, have just rebuilt the front forks(new seals and oil) put back together and the ride is so harsh, even the smallest of pot holes feels as though there is no suspension like hitting it with a flat tyre on the rim. Never rode the bike before I stripped them down so don’t have anything to compare. C...

Re: Z1A float height
All sorted, I have just gone with cleaning the originals and replacing the o rings. Had a 20mile run today and no leaks and running well. I know have 2 new sets of float valves that haven’t been used.

Re: Z1A float height
Having the same trouble with my Z1100r the float valve I took out had 2.5 on it but I don’t think that is correct and the repair kit I bought says 2.3 as you have used 2.6 2.8 I would have thought mine are way off or is it smaller for the bigger engines. May just resort to buying new if no luck, jus...

Float valves
Trying to work out what is what in my carbs, pot 2 was pissing fuel out so have stripped them all down and cleaned everything. Looking at the parts diagram it looks like the needle float valve are not the originals. They have 2.5 on the side and the filter is the small black one not the big domed wh...

Re: Manifold rubbers
Haha remember riding through the night from Spain to home through France all in one go on my R1. All I can manage these days is a 30min blast and that’s with high bars.

Re: Manifold rubbers
Love my Exups, went through my crazy days on them spent more time crashing them than riding them. As long as it runs smooth not bothered by a few lost pony’s, that’s what the Tuono Factory is for. Cheers

Manifold rubbers
Just replaced my manifold carb rubbers and they are about 1mm smaller internal diameter than the originals. Spoke to the supplier and said he has supplied loads without a problem. Will this cause a problem? Don’t want to bolt it all up to then have to replace them. Z1100r they rubbers even have the ...
