If plugs are wet it could be excessive fuel and not oil being burnt. Is smoke black or blue ?? Do compression test anyway.

According to the history with it my Z1B was owned by Clay Cross from Oct 1988 to June 1989. I suspect that it was either crashed or a shed or both prior to ending up there. It was then returned to some semblance of originality before having lots more spent on it there in 1991/92. :p

Hi Mystic, think the only difference is Z1 has 6 bolt brake disc mounts & z9A4 onwards has 4 bolt mounts.

Good luck with it Steve. I know we are always quick to sing the praises of our friends on here i.e. Ash, Z-Power, Z1 enterprises, Berne, SEP, Cradley etc..........but we should still name and shame the ones who give crap service so other members don't get burnt. Just a thought..........
