Z1000 rear sprocket carrier

Has anyone got a rear sprocket carrier to suit a Z1000 A1/A2? The carrier from the earlier drum-braked bike is different, as is the one for factory fitted alloy wheels like the Z1R.

The colour variations on candy paints were so sensitive. Z900's used to come 2 in a crate, and no two were ever the same shade. I'm afraid it's either get a paint mix to match your set, or bite the bullet and paint the lot, there was never a "proper" shade of any of the colours. For a leng...

Looks like the carbs have been re-jetted to sort out the "leaning out" at the top end that you'll get with K&N's and a 4-1. Personally, I've always upped the main jet a couple of sizes, but I've never changed the needles, just lifted them half a notch by means of a tiny weeny washer un...

I've just read this thread for the first time, and to sum up the AGM subject in the words of Al Murray, "Where would we be with no rules?........FRANCE! Where would we be with too many rules?........GERMANY! As Chris said earlier, we try to keep things as simple as possible, making just enough ...

As a blind guess, if you're running pods the main jets may be too small and she's running out of fuel.

I've always found chroming a strange science - some of the best work I've had done has been the cheapest, likewise you can pay top money for a crap job. I've never used him personally, but Steve Smethurst gets chroming done that is well up to standard for the concours boys - dare say it won't be che...

The best method I've ever found is to back-bleed the system, pumping fluid in through the bleed nipples on the calipers. I normally use a pump-action oil can filled with fluid. Make sure you get everything out of the way though, as when the main air lock is forced out into the master cylinder, it's ...

If there's room on the stand, it's been known that we've got bikes offered the night before - but I'd prefer a bit more notice!
