Due to it never being registered from 1978  I'll have to bring it on a trailer or in a van though as it'll be too tight a schedule to get it registered through the DVLA. S+S Silver Saxon Turbo ready for Staffs show

Just a thought.......

Mikuni HSR mount for turbo

Having trouble finding someone who knows how to mount the HSR42 I've bought to a Rajay F40 turbo unit. The turbo unit resembles the Z1 head but the carb just has a 42mm OD round flange. Is anyone running a HSR on their turbo, if so please can you help as i'm getting nowhere from all the tuning compa...

Ahh.. S&S requested the engines were delivered unstamped from Kawasaki, just as the frames were from Rickman. Although it says 1015 I know it was blown up in 1979 and fitted with 1105 low compression pistons by Russ Collins. Mind you, am I right in thinking that the crankcase mouths would've had...

Engine verification

This was built by S&S Performance in 1978. According to a test report I've seen (Motor Cycling Sept1978) they were all fitted with turbocharged 1015cc engines. I thought that all 1015cc engines had 8mm exhaust studs? The engine number is SS10TRB so that's stuffed that idea :D I need to order a f...

Which ignition system

The S&S Silver Saxon turbo I have is fitted with the Z1000A1 engine (1978) and is still on the original points system. I would like to go over to some form of electronic ignition system but wondered what would fit off other Kawasaki models. I know that the Dyna 'S' system is fit & forget, an...
