BTW. The bike didn't come with a toolkit or owners manual.
I've managed to make up a toolkit.
Does anyone have an owners manual they'd sell? Not looking for anything mint, tatty will suit the patina of the bike.
Cheers

It's got newish tyres on it. There's nothing wrong with the spokes IMO.

Z1A ready for the road
20240217_173509.jpg Bought this Z1A last year and recently got around to getting work done on it so it's ready to ride again. It had a horrible, ratty 4/1, pod filters and butchered sidepanels to accommodate and some minor electrical issues. I've swapped the exhaust for a Kerker Swapped the side pa...

Re: Hello to all - at last!!
yip, they're 26mm z1000 (as stated) a1/2 carbs not 28mm, the lack of side mounted air screws along with the underslung adjustment screws identifies them as such. Happy to be corrected. I don't "specialise" on the subject  Cheeky! Sorry, I did mean 26mm, but typo-ed 28.... Corre...

Re: Hello to all - at last!!
Thanks Ultim8pc carbs can be a nightmare sometimes though have set them up a few times. Carbs were bought quite a few years ago from guy who had them just sat in damp garage for a while. Turns out No.3 had tip of air screw jammed in body which had snapped off and was a bugger to get it out without ...

Doremi and PMC are both great and are unstamped as per early Z1.
Delkevic make a stamped set which are also great quality.

Re: Possible exhaust swop
I've owned, bought and sold many sets of NOS OEM 4/4s and sadly, looking at your photo, I'd say your pipes are Delkevic repros not OEM: The stampings on OEM are more defined, in a slimmer font and not as deep. Delkevic stampings a deeper, thicker and look a bit clumsy. Also, the chrome lusture is de...
