joy cams

I seem to remember something about big cams an standard buckets and it may be that the hard coating on the buckets is not compatible with the coating on the cams. I would go with what Phil joy says.

Stage 3 may be ok for drag racing but I think you will find them unsuitable for daily use anyway.

I have only ran the bike briefly to check the gbox engine etc not in anger. However I have ran other stuff with 33's and they are fine, I have recently been running a z1000 1075cc with flowed head and 33's with the ports matched to the carbs on standard cams and it runs really nice and smooth. Not a...

JMC are nice looking bits of kit, and I have new bearings and orings end caps etc for this one I just don't like eccentric adjusters.

Preference I suppose so once I have the xjr one machined to fit I'll flog the JMC.

If my memory serves me right the early RSV swingers were the ones with the cracking problem, pre 1992. There are a few 1992 and above 1000R swinging arms kicking about as there were loads of warranty claims on them when they got dented by the can when the bike fell on its side. If you want an rsv100...

Talk to Dave at z-power and explain the problem, they are pretty reasonable there and if they wont refund you they may give you a credit note instead.

JMC Are defo off my list after it took me 6months to get my bearings from them plus 20 or so phone calls.

Dont go shorter on the shocks unless you drop you're forks the same amount as it will affect the handling. Dropping both ends the same amount wont be detrimental to the hanlding but will reduce your ground clearnace when cornering. Sorry to hear about the JMC they never seem to fit first off. I had ...
