Re: Points Housing
Good point John. I read that as cover. Never needed to replace the actual housing on any bike. Plenty of covers though!

Re: Points Housing
Think they will fit Rob but earlier ones are a more domed shape.
Pretty sure I've got a mk2 one in then shed. I'll go dig it out and post a pic.
Od 120mm
Hole c to c 103mmm
None of the scuffs are deep and will polish out easily.

Re: J2 wiring diagram wanted.
OK, my first experience of this type of switch. Hasn't gone well so far!
If it proves troublesome I will just delete it. Never left a side stand down in 45 years and don't intend to start now!

Re: J2 wiring diagram wanted.
Ah, excellent. Just need to track down a diagram now. The switch I have was behaving strangely and i have tracked that down to a crushed black wire beneath the heatshrink. It is now behaving consistently with the stand down blue/white and pink has continuity. With the stand up the two blacks have co...

Re: J2 wiring diagram wanted.
That would be great thanks.
In the event the switch I have is useless do you happen to know the part number for the 4 wire switch?

Re: J2 wiring diagram wanted.
That might help thanks. First model I've heard of with a 4 wire set up so might clarify what's in front of me.
At least I might be able to work out how this thing is meant to work and what should do what in what position.

J2 wiring diagram wanted.
Guys, anyone one got a j2 wiring diagram they could share? Im getting a bit peeved with the side stand cut out switch specifically. Every parts diagram shows the side stand to be a normal single spring no cut out switch. The wiring diagram for J1 shows a stand cut out switch with 2 wires. The J2 bik...

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
OK, try swapping the trigger wires to the coils and see if the issue stays on 2&3 or moves to 1&4.
If it stays it's a coil issue. If it moves its an ignition pick up or broken wire issue.
Don't forget to swop back after.

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
Your either not getting power to that coil or the ignition is not triggering it to spark. Check the double bullet power to coils connections under the tank. Also check the connections from ignition plate through to coil. Not sure which coils you have so if they have spade connectors on the back and ...

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
Just re read your previous post and Rob is correct it wouldn't have run if the coil trigger wires were reversed it would certainly have back fired out the exhaust which is what I replied too. 2&3 & 1&4 both have the same power feed so not a blown fuse. Check your connections to that coil...

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
Sure would. Easy to check just swop em back over or swop the ht leads if long enough.
