battery
You have a problem with the charging system. At 3K revs it should be 14.5 volt output, and at least 12+ volts ticking over. Is the battery fully charged?

Shim sizes
During the winter motor rebuild, I am going to fit a set of cams with a valve lift of .395, duration of 284. Currently the shims are all between 250/260 - what shim sizes do I need to drop down to?

exhaust
Hi Paul, what about a Marving exhaust, it has a flat collector box, that should give you the clearence.
Failing that ring JB classics, based just off the A23 between Horley and Redhill, 01737 770068, ask for John, he made the exhaust for my Rickman and made plenty others over the years.

Brighton Speed Trials 2014
Brighton speed trials Saturday September 6th on Maderia Drive, next to the pier. Always a good day out and Ade normally turns up with the Z1R. Watch for free from the pavements, or pay £10 to get pit access.
