A4 Side Panel Badge?

Quick question for those in the know :D I'm looking at getting a Z1A/B or A4 in a few weeks time - I've looked at a couple and and have seen a lovely A4 with this badge on the side panel? As far as I was aware, the '76 A4 just had a 'Z900' badge (without the double overhead camshaft bit on the botto...

Re: Z1R Restoration Completed

Congratulations mate - looks lovely! :up :up

I've also got Hagon shocks on mine but went for Goodrich hoses and BT45's - what tyres did you go for?

Let's hope we all go back to some sort of normality soon and can enjoy the summer!!

Re: ZRX out locally

Never really had that with mine - had plenty of use but kept them polished and never had any real blueing?[/quot I will keep on the search Bloody expensive but I was lucky - I got a used set that were like new. Re: Z1R - The Work Begins!

stunning well done, which engine paint did you use in the end? Any thoughts tips? Thanks all the comments :up Weaver - I used SIMONIZ Motorcycle Heat Dispersant Paint but I don't think they make it any more? (HO-SIMVHT145C). Re: Z1R - The Work Begins!

That's lovely, well done. I completed a Z1R this summer and it's identical to yours. Only thing I've got to sort is the self cancelling indicators.....maybe ! 2C7AD714-2BA9-4DDA-9FA3-34123B583670_1_105_c.jpeg Looks the bollox mate and is a real credit to you - well done to you too! :up :up :clap

Re: Z1R - The Work Begins!

Well, it's taken me a while but I finally got there! Apart from a couple of minor cosmetic bits, the Z1R's finally finished and I've had a brilliant Summer on it! I've always 'tinkered' with bikes in the past and had a (relatively small) bit of mechanical knowledge but never attempted anything at al...

Re: Petcock/Fuel tap

Got EXACTLY the same problem with my (original) Z1R fuel tap. I've stripped it previously, cleaned it and replaced the O-Ring. The bloody thing is even worse this year and almost impossible to operate although I seem to remember an issue with the O-Ring size when I ordered a replacement. I've also b...
