Hi Mike,
The hoses arrived today, many thanks for your help, it's really appreciated. Couldn't find a local branch so will probably post to your guy's in Highbridge. I'll keep you posted when I get to that part of the build.
Cheers

Re: OEM Stanley indicator
Hi there, I have several old OEM ones that are cracked in the usual place (uv light, vibration etc). I also have a pair of cheap copies too. They all measure 80mm along stem, 165mm to end of bowl shortest edge. Not sure what you mean by short or long, please explain as I bought my bike new and never...

Re: Brake hoses
Hi Al,
Thanks for the info.
The original hoses went into the bin long ago and I fitted Goodridge hoses. I'll try HEL for a quote.
As a backup, does anyone have used hoses from the GPz1100, Z1000R, Z1000J range of bikes that they might want to part with?

Brake hoses
Gents,
Any recommendations for brake hoses that closely resemble the original rubber brake hoses fitted to our bikes? Not interested in stopping on a sixpence, they just need need to look and perform similar to originals.
Cheers guys.

OEM Stanley indicator
Gents,
As per subject title, OEM Stanley indicator to fit Z1000J, Z1100R or Z750L amongst others. Just like on the ELR in the banner above. Must be mint

Re: Speedometer query
Thanks Guys,
That crossed my mind, but as stated, I've run speedo repeatedly with a drill and it seems ok. I'm' just going to clean it off and see how it goes. Should it fail, does anyone know how to rectify the problem? Also, what is the safest product to clean glycerol off?
Cheers

Speedometer query
Hi All, Dug out my clock set from storage, been there about 15 years. Noticed that the needle/pointer centre appeared to have what I thought was oil accumulated on it. Stripped it all apart, not oil, but a very sticky, clear substance. haven't touched it yet as I don't want to make it look worse. Tw...

Cleaning wiring harness
Guy's, Any top tips on cleaning a wiring harness? Block connectors are not too bad, but white ones are yellowed. Tape pretty good, but needs a bit of patching up. Some guys in the RD Club have put them in the washing machine, but the thought of the wire flexing repeatedly and work hardening rules th...

Re: Fuel tap
Hi Al,
Thanks for the info, I checked Z Power originally but didn't spot the one I needed. I've checked out the price of a used tap plus a rebuild kit. Might as well buy new.
Had a slight accident with mine, I put it in alloy wheel cleaner to tidy it up but forgot it was in there.....
Cheers.

Fuel tap
Morning All,
I'm after a good, genuine OEM Kawasaki fuel tap to fit my Z1000J3. Don't mind a bit of alloy cleaning up as long as it's visually decent and working.
Cheers.

Re: Z1000J3 (in foreign climes)
Ultim8pc - Very nice J in blue, unusual colour. Philippe - She will be going back to stock, nowhere near as quickly as your builds though... No powder coating this time either, hardest part of recommissioning will be removing this coating. I have owned the bike from new, it's mostly original...
