Re: Lucious

Price doesn't look bad to me, most of the restoration costs for a 250/400 are the same as a z1 (frame, chrome, wheels etc) so surely the price needs to be somewhere near also. if you think it's worth it buy it, if not--don't. Yeah true but that works both ways - and it's also similar for an H1 or a...

Re: 2 Stroke Project required

TDRs have gone up a good bit recently too they were somewhat under-rated for a while, the other problem is that they also seemed to suffer a lot more owner inflicted brutality than the equivalent Powervalve so ones needing work can be really fucked up. Bodywork used to be an issue but there is now s...

Re: Lucious

It looks incredibly clean and the price seems equally top end - but the seller has given scant information because he is obviously trying to get people to contact him off ebay - I thought that they had cracked down on that?

Re: Keihin CR29mm

I faffed about with mine for a good while but made most progress with a trip to a Dyno. Hadn't really got it 100% on the short visit and intended to go back for finer tuning, but the local guy went out of business so have never got round to looking for another one. It was doing 100 brake at the back...

Re: Keihin CR29mm

29s shoud be perfect for a 900 - they're hardly going to strangle it as they'll be flowing more than the standard carbs :D . You'd also be better with a bigger tap for that reason. One thing about the CRs I was advised that you can't really set them up on vacuum gauges (and which from my futile effo...
