F1 & later SR & LTD had electronic ignition I'm 3rd owner, 2nd owner bought at 2 years old, can't see why someone would down grade the ignition. I read F1's had points, mine definitely has F2's had electronic? Could be taking cobblers, normally am. Anyway, it is now in my possession. Going ...

Forgot to say the F1 is points for some unknown reason. Probably using up parts, same as the drum rear brake..

I thought it was about moving the spring to the other side of the diaphragm or something like that.

I'm sure I read a while ago, that a vacuum tap can be converted to a conventional one. Can't remember by who or which topic though, sorry.

Good luck with carbs, I had a nightmare with my CV's off the Zeph and they looked clean. Yes I know French 'mechs', remember this

Was about to say that. I'm guessing the old wiring and voltage drop off hides the charging system failures, The WG mod highlights them.
