I’ve got a floppy peg

Quiet at the back.

One of my rear pegs is refusing to stay up when told. Does anyone know if there’s an easy fix for this? Z-Power sell pattern replacements for £20 the pair, but I’d rather fix than replace if possible.

Re: Ride around Southsea & Fareham

Wine vaults is (was) still going! My best mates older Bro spent an inordinate amount of time in there during the 1990's, so much so he ended up as the "minesweeper" for the place! https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=minesweeping Spent too much time in there myself in those day...

Re: Ride around Southsea & Fareham

Bloody hell, I lived in Southsea for years: Victoria Road South. The Zed I still have was knocked over when parked by a Pompey girl in a white Golf drop-head outside the Wine Vaults on Albert Rd in 1998. Insurance wrote it off for more than I paid for it, I bought it back and MOTed it, got a free bi...

Re: performance brake callipers

I have Harrison 4 pots on my A4, a massive improvement over standard.

I’d also recommend removing the junction unit between the forks and replacing with 2 long brake lines directly from the master cylinder to the callipers.

Re: A4: Change front discs?

Thanks mate! Looks like an excellent option. I've asked Harrison if they do a disc - let's see.

A4: Change front discs?

The only part of my front brake setup I haven't changed is the rotors. I'm using Harrison Billet callipers, which are great, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a Harrison disc that will go on in place of the standard?

Or any other recommendations, obviously.

Cheers!

Perfect! This is exactly the motivation I need to get the old girl on the road again. Might get the bike out too. It's the way I tell 'em.

Good carb service in/near London?

My current set of standard carbs (a4) are well and truly past their use-by date, so I'm sourcing another set. However, I know I'm never going to get around to cleaning and servicing them, so I'm looking for someone in or near London who has the appropriate gear - and the experience - to renovate the...

Do you know if they'll work on an a4 with the standard airbox? I'd be interested if so.

Sounds interesting! Do they offer an improvement in the leaking problems that the original carbs have? I guess the Z1-R carbs go straight on, without alteration?

A4 alternative carb suggestions?

I've heard so much about different carbs that are easy to fit and set up on a Z900 A4 - does anyone have actual first hand recommendations?

I've got a Yoshi style pipe now, so I reckon a bit of extra breathing space is required!
