Gauging interest in my Z1000

Thinking and I mean thinking about parting with my Z1000.

I've had her for 8 years and have completely rebuild the chassis, brakes, wheels, suspension. Loads of wiring fixes etc. You know the deal and she is now a reliable ride.
I've just not found time to use her at all this year. She's far from perfect or original but is a good ride-able project for someone.

I have stripped her down completely and rebuild everything except for the engine and gearbox.


The engine and box are fine, everything works but she has done 45k miles and I was planning to strip the head off and put new seals in, re-seat the valves etc.

With her just sitting in the garage at the moment things are starting to go a bit rusty here and there again and I'm wondering what she might be worth and would anyone give her a good home.



I must have put £2k in into her and she cost about £2k - got to be worth in the £4500 region surely ?

Looks good to me,would say you are round about right if it needs cosmetics and top end work.!

id of thought in the 6k area,check out similer bikes on ebay and go from there

Yeah £6K easy...especially from ebay.

as long as it looks 95% unmessed with and is a good runner it will sell easily.

I'd Think £6K is pushing it a bit given it's very non - standard.

Start at the £4.5K and see how it goes from there...

Anyone on here interested at £4500 ? I'd rather it went to someone here than pimping it out on eBay.

If not I'll give eBay some thought over the weekend.
