Beautiful Classic Motorbike from the golden era of Japanese Superbikes. Fully professionally restored in 2017 including a number of modifications to enhance performance and safety. Don't take my word for it have a look at the 2017 July edition of the Classic Motorbike Mechanic magazine for a detailed description and analysis of this superb machine. I have a hard copy of the magazine in my possession. Keihin CR special carbs, electronic ignition, Nickel plated frame AP racing brakes and discs to name a few of the enhanced modifications to this already superior and unique classic. Check out the provenance via the Classic Motorcycle Mechanic magazine (July 2017 edition). The 1000cc engine produces bone shaking torque to satisfy the need for speed but is just as happy poodling around the country lanes. £16,500.

Re: 1977 Z1000 for sale
Highly ambitious pricing I would say. Modded bikes never sell as well as stock bikes and stock Z1000'A1's are struggling to get £10k in the current climate.

Nice bike nothing much wrong with it (except for the price), if it was Red it would be very similar to my Z1000A2.

Re: 1977 Z1000 for sale
In my defence I really had no idea of the value of the bike and I do realise it's only worth as much as someone will pay for it so apologies for upsetting the more experienced members. Life as ever is a compromise so offers will clearly be considered. This is a reluctant but necessary sale as I do love the bike and get out on it whenever the weather permits.
Re: 1977 Z1000 for sale
Bike prices have defiantly taken a big hit over the last 18 months. Standard-ish Z1000's can be had for around 7k now. Non standard bikes very rarely are someone elses dream so will always be less than a great original spec bike. I had to be more realistic recently and sold a Kawa for 4k less than it was worth 2 years ago. Times have changed.

You'll not be upsetting anyone the forum is here to share views
Re: 1977 Z1000 for sale
Not wanting to rain on your parade but I doubt it would fetch half that asking price the way the market is heading , especially for special builds. Unfortunately they are not " special" in other peoples eyes . Add to that the fact that prices will only be heading in one direction.

Re: 1977 Z1000 for sale
Very many thanks for the advice. The bike is now sold at an agreeable price.
Re: 1977 Z1000 for sale
Would you be prepared to divulge the selling price so others can gauge the market?
