Z900 A4

Here for sale is my 1976 Z900.
It has been restored, sympathetically I hope.
The frame and swinging arm were powder coated. New swingarm bearings and shaft. New steering head bearings and fork seals. New brake pads, shoes, pistons, seals etc. New loom and regulator/rectifier. Old instruments were off some random Z650, so complete new instrument assembly from Z-Power, hence low mileage shown. New tank/Cap/tap, sidepanels, tailpiece and lovely new paint. New indicators, chainguard, chain/sprockets. Carbs professionally rebuilt. Standard airbox and intake trumpet. 900cc barrels bored to 1st oversize and new pistons. Head/barrels vapour-blasted. All new camchain guides rollers etc. new cam bearing shells. New Doremi exhaust system and fitting kit from Z-Power. New clutch actuator assembly. New seat assembly, document tray, toolkit. New engine bolts, rear brake lever assembly, footrest bolts/rubbers etc. New handlebar clusters from Z-Power. New BT45 tyres. Lester wheels. I have a set of original wheels but they need restoring and I simply couldn’t be bothered since I like the Lesters.
Note that the above parts are virtually all reproduction and for the most part not original Kawasaki even though largely bought from Z-Power. I have pretty much all the receipts.
So far the bike has done some 800ish miles since the rebuild. Probably more since this was written, so about run-in arguably. It had fresh oil and genuine filter on rebuild, at about 300 miles and last weekend (720 miles).
I’ve probably forgotten some of the new and repainted bits, there were so many, and I collected everything ready to go before reassembling in one build, so lots of carboard boxes including a gigantic one for the exhausts.
And now its for sale. A really nice example. Rideable, not a museum piece. You could put it in your feature entrance hall (a la Carl Fogarty) or ride it. £9850.
