Hi Stempy - sorry dumb question. What advantage do the extensions give ? Wider choice of shocks ? Different swinging arms ? Thought if I don't ask I'd never know :biggrin

If you fit a wider swing arm the lower shock mounts are moved further apart . These move the top shock mount out to compensate .

I am interested, but is it possible to get a shorter set made up. Basically I need a set that just extends by maybe 25mm over the stock set up, or roughly the length of threaded portion again along with the back spacer

I have a Zephyr swingarm and its only that much wider each side than stock. I have the long set - but they are too long :(

Normally people fit the 20mm extensions when fitting a ZRX arm ?

Yeah, mine is a 650, and I have a Zephyr 400 swingarm.

I only need to extend my current frame mounts by 25mm overall, that's the thing mate, not 25mm and then the thread if that makes sense ?

I can get the shocks on with a spacer fitted on the frame side as it sits, but not enough room left on the thread for the grab rail, or even a full nut - its all too close to be comfortable really. I kinda need 10mm of additional extension plus a further 15mm of thread.

A stubby version of what I had last time.

If that isn't doable, no problems :)
