Z1100r

#1 PostAuthor: stempy » Thu Mar 09, 2017 8:33 pm

Just posting this on behalf of a friend bike has been done to a very high standard

The bike was first registered in August 1985 and on the logbook I am the 2nd owner and it has all the correct numbers for a Z1100r , everything has been apart and the bike has had everything done, rebore, crank, valves, new valve seats, buckets, cam chain, shell bearings, new bearings in gearbox, it has only run for about 40mins so far and not even ridden ! I rebuilt, re-plated ( calliper's anodised ) , new chain and sprockets, too many new parts to list , just needs running in.
I have standard pipes but they need chrome also mirrors, owners hand book and manual.
£10,000

probably wont do it any good running it for 40 mins without riding it on a rebore, risks the rings not bedding in properly :??

Stunning bike, I'm restoring one myself right now an 1984, matching numbers bike, but I'm struggling to get the speedo/rev cluster. Yours looks new, did you restore your originals...
Do you know where a could get a set of clocks?

Many thanks, if my bike looks anywhere as good as yours I'll be well chuffed. :D

Very nice indeed, they really have gone up in value as the last big air cooled Zed. I have one in similar condition , even have the original bill of sale and a photo of it by the shop in 1985. :D
