Yep!. It'd be £20K at a certain well known purveyor of classic bikes.

Im restoring a Z1A as we speak and wonder how much effect repro stuffs and "wrong" dates on componens has on the value?
On this particullar bike, any repro? Any wrong dates?
Thanks for the help!

You'll need to speak to Paul (the Seller) about this actual Bike, but on the whole the more original the bike the better the price.

I don't think re-pop parts have the same stigma these days as let's be honest we'd all be fooked without them. But restorations where the owner has gone out the extra mile to source NOS or correctly refurbish original parts will always command a premium over a bitsa built from pattern parts and 'it'll do' bits from breakers.

That said, I've sold a few old Zeds and non of the buyers has ever checked the date codes match, many didn't even know they had dates codes, let alone what they meant :??

Looks like you were wrong about the £20k price tag Garry. Or is Frank not the "well known purveyor of classic bikes" you were refering to

Dave, I suspect that the reference may have been to RWHS/Classic Bikes?
