Z1r carburettors for sale

#1 PostAuthor: chrisw1 » Tue Oct 31, 2017 9:21 pm

I have a set of Z1r carburettors for sale ..... excellent original condition ...... I don't think they have ever been dismantled
They came off a bike that hadn't moved for 30 years

Hi, sounds interesting! First dibs please.
Are they clean the inside or gummed up with 30yr old fuel?
Any signs of damaged screws/threads or bent/cracked bits?
Do all slides/choke move ok?
Have cash waiting to send.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Would you be able to tell me the inlet internal diameter, I am not sure if my Z1r carbs are correct.
At least I will find out if mine are wrong and see if yours are still available at that point!

thanks
frank

28mm carbs measure closer to 29mm on the outlet side where they mount in the rubbers and 26's measure closer to 27mm because the bore tapers out toward the engine.
To accurately size them you need to measure across the venturi just either side of where the slide is.

I have added some pics ....the carbs measured just under 29mm on the inlet ..........very clean inside ( I only took one bowl off ) and all original screws etc which undid easily ...... chokes and slides move freely ...... no chips or breaks in the castings .... all zinc is nice ,,,, just degrease whatever the previous owner put on to preserve them and fit to your bike
Piggy has first dibs of course
