Tec Shocks

#1 PostAuthor: Fred the Zed » Mon Dec 04, 2017 7:40 pm

Hi
I've got a pair of nearly new Tec shocks to suit Z900/ Z1000 / Z1R. I had them on my Shed before a tasty set of Ohlins tempted me. They've only done a few miles and are in very good condition.

£50 plus postage

PM me if you want them

Cheers

Fred

I noticed that there's a seller up in Newcastle selling them on ebay for £139:99 plus postage so £50 is a steal!
Incidentely, what did you make of them for the short time they were on?

Hi Gonzo

I found them to be quite a bit better than the old Hagons I had on it when I bought it. The hagons were very stiffly sprung with little effective damping. The Tec shocks are also ride height adjustable so I was able to find that adding a bit of ride height, puts more weight through the front tyre and makes the bike turn a bit better.

However, I have found that you get what you pay for and the Tec shocks weren't quite in the same league as the Ohlins that I replaced them with.

Overall, the Tec's aren't at all bad and are probably an improvement over what you've got on at the moment. They are good value for money and if you want better, you have to pay a lot more.
