I have decided to sell my Z1000R and reduce the number of bikes I have.
This is a 1983 UK model and I have owned it for the last 18 years and put most of the 33,726 miles on it. I have 18 years worth of history including MOT’s. Current one runs out in October.
This is an original unrestored bike and is largely standard except for the exhaust, brake lines, 530 chain conversion and rear shock absorbers. I have the original Showa piggy back shocks (one blown seal), the centre stand with spring and bolts and the engine mounting bolt that I removed when I fitted the crash bars. It also has the original owners manual and toolkit.
The exhaust is a hand made stainless steel Kerker replica made by Gazelle. I had the bend the collector so that the oil filter can be changed without removing it. It wasn’t cheap but it looks and sounds fantastic and 17 years on still looks new.
The condition is very good but it is 36 years old and it is used, so there are a couple of stone chip on the fuel tank at the front and on the alternator cover. Rear BT45 is less than 1k on it.

Re: Z1000R for sale
Thank you all for the compliments. Selling it after 18 years and so many enjoyable memories is harder than I thought but it will be staying in the Z1OC so that makes it less of a wrench and I sure Ken will love it as much as I have
