CBX1000Z for sale: £9,500 - NOW SOLD!

A good mate and club member has decided to thin out his collection (which includes a 73 UK Z1, GT750A, RD500, RG500 and a 2001 R1) as he needs the space having recently added a NS400R to his oil burner race reps, so his CBX1000Z is to be sold. Its a US spec low mileage original bike - the bike is in Farnham, Surrey.

Details: Year: 1979, mileage 19,262, piantset by Dream Machine, new tyres, chain and sprocket set plus clutch basket upgrade.

He's asking £9,500.

Whats the cable loop on the front mudguard for? Speedo cable which is now replaced by aftermarket electronic unit maybe? and tell him he needs to paint the master cylinder. It lets the rest of an otherwise immaculate bike down a bit.

The loop is for the speedo cable which has been replaced. I haven't seen (or ridden) Dave's CBX for about a year as he mainly uses his Z1 and strokers, so he may have painted it since. But if not, the new owner could always reprint it if it's a concern.

Yes, it is a stunning bike and is a lot of bike for the money - not unsurprisingly there's a lot of interest in it.

If I wasn't in the middle of the recommissioning of 1970 20k mile CB750 K1 survivor that CBX would be in my garage right now.
