Im in touch with the seller with a view to buying this 1100r,??? must say im confused to say the least.
Any advice please?
To be honest a have never seen a for sale post go missing in this way, the vendor has quite a few posts so i assumed he was a genuine seller, plus we have communicated by phone, where to go from here?

I spoke to the seller yesterday afternoon to ask why the original post had gone missing, he was oblivious as to why this had happened.
As I say he's a regular poster on this site so i can't see the catch.
I've arranged to go and see the bike at the weekend and if everything checks out, (paperwork, numbers etc) I can't see any problems.
Having said that we won't be meeting in no car parks!!

The post had not been deleted, it had been referred to moderation for discussion of stupid off topic comments. It has taken the intervening period to address this as mods are not full time. The OP has now been returned with the original off topic comments removed.

I left some of the tinfoil hat conspiracy posts to address them. Moderators and admins can remove or moderate posts. This forum has a light touch moderation so if something Is moved or suspended there is good reason. It is becoming more of a problem recently with people posting plain insulting or personal comments and admin are having to deal with the fallout. There is a warning system on the board for moderators to use to pull up users for ill judged comments, it has not been used before, but there will most likely be more use made of this going forward. Please think before you type something stupid.

This is not “censorship” it is moderation to try to keep the forum a civil place for all, if you object to this for some reason go to Facebook instead.

Thank you

If deleting a post due to insulting comments perhaps you could post a message saying why it has been deleted? This would help with transparency and keep everyone informed.

splitting hairs now,why not just remove the offending comments straight away and post a message saying why they have been removed, dont think it needs a committee decision to sort a few inappropriate comments....

In the interest of fairness it requires moderators to consider it and come to an agreed decision so that we don’t have people complaining that things have been unfairly removed. This thread took longer than normal due to some of the moderation team being on holiday.

If the post has not been removed but is in moderation for consideration what is the point in posting a running commentary about a thread that people can’t see? If it was totally removed that would then be explained.

As far as “transparency” goes moderators have no interest in hiding stuff. All admin are generally doing is trying to contain petty bickering.
