Beware of this Ebay Scammer

#1 PostAuthor: CAT3 » Sat Oct 03, 2020 10:54 pm

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KAWASAK-Z1B- ... SwDQdfeJnt

He/she has hundreds of so called bikes he/she is acting on behalf of.
Some that have large bids on, like this one, are being bid up by people wise to the scam.

I was alerted to this seller on another forum I frequent for an Italian make !
There's guy's on there keeping a watch for him & bidding his sales up to rediculous levels to try & alert people.
Some of them have tried to go through the motions of buying a bike, (although he does also sell boats, cars, etc as well). They always start at a low figure, presumably to gain interest & then if you try to view the item you are asked to contact his "father" via email & they become very evasive.

He's a long standing scammer & even though many have reported his adverts it appears Ebay does little to stop him.

Unfortunately "they" are not the seller shown on the ad. The sellers account has been hacked and they use a different hacked account each time. Best you can do is report the scam to ebay through the report ad item. You need to report several of the ads to alert ebay its a hacked account. Ebay then delete all the ads for that hacked account so hits all of them in one go only for them to crop up again under a different hacked account.
All the time legit ebay account holders have shit weak passwords there's very little ebay can do to stop the hackers.
Of course what they are hoping is that people are stupid enough to send payments to provided bank details outside the ebay site.

Strengthen your passwords guys!

My Z1A is at £50,000 at the moment. Always asks to email first. Does he sell the email address on ?

Money is made by people putting a deposit down or paying for the bike because it’s such a bargain, my brother in laws mate lost £5k to them.
