SOLD Z900-A4 Project for Sale

#1 PostAuthor: JWO261N » Sat May 01, 2021 3:26 pm

After a lot of soul searching, I don’t have the ability to get my bike running nicely.
I just can’t fix the fueling (carbs etc) and it needs someone who understands these machines.
I’ve bitten off more than I can chew.

The bike is for sale as is, best offer over £8k secures.
The bike is complete, it’s a nice machine and has had a ton of money spent on it getting it to where it is.

Real shame that you have had to let it go, carb issues are the pits

That’s just a silly statement.
It was on eBay for £8k.
I’d have loved to get more of course, especially with what it owed me. I took guidance from a dealer in classic bikes and £8k was deemed a reasonable number.
If any member had offered similar it could have gone to them. The guys here have been lovely, why wouldn’t I have wanted to pay back in some way?

But...... no members expressed an interest, nobody at all.

For the record it’s gone for £7800 and I’ve committed to another bike. I believe that’s a fair deal for the chap as he has work to do.

I hope so, the buyer definitely has the ability to fix it and it does keep a zed on the road.

Not that I need to explain myself to you... but I’ll type a little slower for you.

Nobody put up their hand in any way, shape or form.
Nobody said ‘hey, I can’t do £8k can we talk ...’

For the hard of understanding, the £8k on eBay came about because the specialist dealer I spoke with advised me that that price is reasonable and would move the bike on.

Guess what, the bike sold and at no point did anyone on the forum come to me and express an interest.
