SOLD! FOR SALE - 1977 Z1000 A1

#1 PostAuthor: GuyHughes » Mon Jul 05, 2021 10:21 am

Reduced to £8k and put on eBay, needs to go this week.- STILL AVAILABLE DUE TO TIME WASTERS! This was sold and was to be collected at the weekend, but they messed me about, cost me money, pulled out and so lost their deposit. Its because I have their deposit, I am able to reduce the price. I have committed to buy another bike, so I need this sold. Contact me and make me and offer while the weather is good to get out on it.
OK, time to sell my 1977 Z1000 A1. Painted in A2 colours, (by the last owner), I brought this A1 over from the US in 2018. It is registered as an historic vehicle and as such does not require Tax and MOT. I have all the import docs and US ownership records for those that care about this sort of stuff. I also have loads of receipts showing how much has been spent on this bike. IT IS NOT RESTORED, it is in original condition, even the exhausts, (I believe), are 40 years old or at least very early replacements. I have removed all the custom parts that were on the bike, such as K & N’s, wrong seat, US switch gear, etc. and have replaced them with original items sourced from all over the world and where I could not get good quality originals I have bought new items from Z-Power and other notable vendors.

Some of the work that has been carried out:-
• Carbs have been stripped and cleaned and re-jetted – even original stamped jet needles were sourced
• Original airbox and snorkel
• Forks put back the right way round so the caliper is now in front of the forks
• “New” correct front caliper sourced
• New Indicators
• New Grips
• New Oil, Oil filter and Air filter
• New plugs
• New Mirrors
• New chain guard
• Centre stand fitted
• Has original Rims all stamped up
• New “original” battery fitted
• Correct fuel tap fitted
• New front brake hoses
• New carb boots
• New Speedo cable and Throttle cables
• New Grab rail
• All the cam chain work completed, tensioner, idler, shaft set, gear
• New Rear cush drive rubber

This is a very clean bike with original patina and rides well, its not like my ’77 Z900 A5 its pictured with which has been completely stripped and restored, it will still need some TLC in areas. The bike is in North Wales and viewing is recommended for those with serious intentions of buying it. Buy it and ride it or strip and restore its up to you. Asking for £9,000 but open to offers. Delivery can be arranged as long as you are willing to pay. Send me a message or call me on 07767 623695 to discuss.

I was open to offers and took one :D, but as always with these things the truth lies in the cash in hand, I guess we will see at the weekend. Hopefully the chap is a genuine as he sounds but I have been this far before with other bikes and nothing surprises me these days. Its surprising what people can blame their, dog or their missus or even COVID for!
