Jeez... that's rough. However I'm sure you can work your magic on it Mike.

Cheers Will yeah I’m going to need some workshop time on this one, its gonna put a serious dent in my ever dwindling pile of bits….as well as my wallet. I hate to see a decent bike disintegrating and couldn’t resist

Its surprises me how such a low mileage bike can end up in such a state!
I spoke to the guy and made an offer too....obviously too low.

There is a 750 turbo and a normal 750 on ebay at the moment for £5K in the same sort of state!

Good luck with the resto Bill

I pretty much paid for the sum of the parts really though I have absolutely no intention or interest in breaking it. There’s a lot missing and a few bits wrong. Ignition casing is wrong as is front mudguard…..so given the mileage thats odd or likely been dropped. Tanks missing as it was completely rotted out, no seat or unfortunately belly pan…original belly pans are hens teeth and when they do turn up the price is usually eye watering. Copies are available though. The engine number is correct for the bike though and surprisingly it turns over though I wish they hadn’t ! Front fairing is bust as is the inner fairing, no chain guard. I’m assuming the turbo is knackered though I’ll be replacing that anyway. No exhausts. I’ve got most of the parts to do it so should just be a complete strip and rebuild…..but I know there’s likely gonna be some horrors !

Yeah I’m up for that, I’ll have to check the rules on where I’m allowed to put it not being a z1. I’ll kick it off with more pics of the actual state of it when i get it on the bench

It’s a kawasaki and it’s got ‘z’ in it’s model name. What’s the problem.

Good luck.
