Z1100 Shaft for sale

#1 PostAuthor: BJ81ZED » Fri Feb 11, 2022 11:04 am

I have decided to part with my 1981 Z1100 as I now have two bikes and am taking a change in career which requires some training costs to be paid.

It is a German model originally restored by Chiemgau-Classics.com in Germany. I bought it from a dealer in Kent who had owned it for a couple of years.

In my ownership it has had a tip end strip to replace knackered valve seals and while that was happening the cylinder heads were cleaned and the valves lapped in. Shims were also checked and replace where needed.

Also carburettors were stripped, ultrasonic cleaned, new modern material vacuum diaphragms, choke seals and float bowl fefurb kits used.

Photos show it with original exhaust although I have since fitted a Delcaprovic stainless 4 into 1 exhaust. Both included in sale.

Kawasaki manual included.

48,670 kilometres on the clock or 29,202 miles in old money.

£6500 ono

Hi

Stunning - may I ask 2 questions .
1 Have you sold the original exhaust with the bike
2 Do you have to take the now 4 into 1 Detivik unit off to remove the oil filter

Hope you can help with above questions as I have just finished an Z1100 Shaft A3 Engine rebuild and need to decide on an exhaust sytem

Many thanks - Gary

Hi Gary

Bike not sold yet.

I just checked under the bike and the Delkivic exhaust does allow access to the oil filter when it is fitted.

Cheers

Here is a video of the bike starting up, hopefully it encourages someone to buy it.
