1973 Z1 for sale

#1 PostAuthor: gtookey » Mon Jun 20, 2022 4:26 pm

Hi all,

It's time to sell my Z1, a March 1973 Manufactured (US) bike imported to UK at the end of 2007
Restored to high standard in 2008-9 including engine, frame, panels except for tank which remains original.
Tank has some chips and a scratches as shown in pictures, but presents well
Rims have some light corrosion
Chain Oiler present inc engine components (plastic oil reservoir)
Matching numbers 102xx and 103xx - 128 apart
Registered as an historic vehicle
Pictures should be viewed as they form part of the offer
Invoices for engine overhaul present
Box of spares will also go with the bike ( various used but serviceable in the main, motor components)
Exhaust is original, it has a small hole in top left silencer, but this has not worsened in 6 years of ownership
it has covered 5000 miles in 15 years
It is correct for 1973 inc
* Early Fuel Tank with short emblems
* Exhaust is stamped Z1900 / Z2 750 ( i.e. not late 76 stamping)
* Warning light console, instruments correct for 73 Z1
* Early carbs with large alloy hex nut float bowl drains
* Early mirrors without reinforcing joint at shoulders
* Rear brake hub without wear indicator
* Black finished fuel tap
* Early throttle body with friction screw
* Early headlamp with bowl stay
* Early 751 lock set ( only one key)
* early transmission cover without gear position indicator
* Early seat with 2 part foam
* Early chain adjusters with M8 adjuster bolts
* Early horn assembly with screws retaining outer rim.

all key components (nuts, rim brake torque arm carry date stamp
rebuilt with genuine Kawasaki or OEM parts, not pattern parts.
Photographs of rebuild available
Registration document shows 1 former keeper.

I am looking for offers over £18000

A buyer will also have first offer of a boxed, unused genuine Kawasaki exhaust system although this is for a later Z1A on, model.Part No. 18001-227- 230. I will sell this separately later at £1950.

PM if interested.

Bike located in London Docklands E16

Glenn

Hi Glenn

it's a stunning bike!
With all that work done and money spent, the new owner will have a magnificent bike.
Great job!
I hope you can sell it for a correct price because it's worth it.
