Hi everybody - my Z900 A4 is for sale after 20 years of ownership.

It is a reluctant sale after being dry stored in boxes for a few years. Huge monumental thanks to Neil Conway for supporting me via phone and Facetime over the last few weeks. Neil has been amazing, patient and seemingly endless knowledge mostly flying blind with me a total novice at the coalface.

Add to that Mike Too and Tom 'Zedder' Barr who sourced and supplied and posted the lower right exhaust so I could get the bike running - massive thanks to them.

Sale forced by ill health - a reluctant sale but with 4 grand kids being raised it is the only way forward.

So the bike - It is not a project bike as it is mostly together and runs, it is very clean but it is not a completely finished bike.

Pro's - Powder coated frame / vapour blasted engine / Full size rear mudguard / UK Bike / Grab rail / Airbox (no silencer cone) / 4 into 4 / Seat in great condition.

Cons - Petrol tank needs a respray due to petrol spillage / lower right exhaust has a crack which has been sealed.

Bike needs some work for example one pipe needs to be adjusted into the head as the collar is not screwed down, this makes the bike a bit blowy, carbs probably need a clean after storage, cables maybe not routed correctly, basically superficial stuff.

She starts on the key immediately, is a little crabby as needs a tune / carb setup.

Bike is based in Tendring Essex, CO160BJ.

Bike re-advertised due to buyer not viewing the motorcycle and cancelling the purchase.

Perhaps a reflection of the current Classic market, but for many years people would have snapped up a bike like this simply because there was a profit in it. Today the cost of the purchase & resto would be perhaps more than the bikes worth ruling out many of these type buyers.
