Non Kawasaki Ducati

#1 PostAuthor: Zebedee » Tue Dec 13, 2022 4:28 am

Oh dear I appear to have been struck by the Ducati bug and it would seem to be fast acting and serious?

Went out at the weekend and I appear to have bought not one but two Ducatis? Is that even the correct pluralisation for more than one Ducati?

Bought a 2004 900ss Supersport in red and a 1000ds Multistrada also in red.

Bug seems to have struck hard and fast!

I know that addiction. It's a slippery slope. Old Kawasaki and newish Ducati's, especially race Ducati's, are an addiction that afflicts me also.

You have my sympathy as I suffer with the same affliction :P
Sounds a bad case though, buying two in a weekend: top job :up

Pictures will be forthcoming when they are delivered.
900 ss is being serviced and MOT’ed and then tehy will phone me for the balance and to arrange delivery. Tentatively scheduled for the 21st.
1000 ds has a starting issue as the former owner has been in Italy for six weeks and the bike needs charging, possibly a new battery, a service and then delivery. Probs also needs the battery cable and starter motor upgrade as this model has a historic problem of the 750? Size starter cranking the 1000 cc twin with the puny cables?

Yeah went out to buy a helmet and came back with a 900 ss !
Was already scheduled to go and view the Multistrada locally on the Sunday and despite it being cold and not starting, it was too cheap and too tempting to turn down. 18 year old 18 k miles full Ducati service history two keys all books some mods a cover, SAE wired in battery charger, installed USB charger at the bars, Givi one key top box, new tyres and a fresh new service, 2k.
Whats not to love?
