Pigford the 1"handle bar is tapered at both ends if not then the two fixing point on the handle is either bigger or smaller.
I can't remember which?
I was thinking of getting a W650 and I was going to fit a lower bar if I bought one.
my friend had one and he told me above. you cant just go and buy a renthal handle bar etc.just thought I'd point it out to you. john

Correct :?? They're 1" up to the controls....... the ends are 7/8" (normal size) so you need to make some sleeves up  Stupid idea for our American cousins.... even though I think they only sold 2700 in the US of A :!:

ALSO: the switch gear is 7/8" towards the rubber grips, but the other end overlaps the 1" bit - so that end is 1" !!!!!!!! WTF

But I'll have to do it coz them big COWHORN's are just too damned GAY

Mine now hitting 46 K still going strong oh yeah big tens living the dream.
You wanna mod for a sweet sound
At the end of the zorst is a baffle tacked in with two blobs of weld. grind them out and make a tool to pull them out. fire up hey presto instant volume oh yeah.

These bikes are serious fun, dump the accolades fit road riders an youre getting there.

I work occasionally with them in the oil and gas industry.

....Blimey, and thats coming from YOU

Cheers Ed - been reading up on these bike for some time now..... really want to try and keep it near standard as possible - or at least so it can be put back to original. Do agree that a bit more volume never hurt anyone

Well noted with the tyres - P.O just fitted a new c&s and a rear Accolade :?? My choice would be TT100's for the looks. Gotta say this really is a sweet little bike with a bit of character too - and defo the best looking "Classic Retro" bike made (and its a Kawasaki) :!:

Pigforatu. They are a serious fun bike.
Mine came standard with low bars have compared it to the high bars, which dont really cut it for me. lowbars give it a sleeker look.
To think it was the last Kawasaki air cooled with carbs n kicker.
TBH the only issue i had with mine was the saddle hurt the base of the spine on long distances. tried a gel pad not much better.
So bit the bullet and went for a Corbin. Had a tear in my eye when i first sat on it felt like a wooden plank
So went out one day to Skegness the long way round. Only stopped for a coffee then rode back. Best investment i made :!:
So basically its a solo.
Ive removed the tank badges, shaved the rear footpeg mounts and helmet hook. End of handle bar mirrors (cheeky little round ones)and a few other bits n bobs.
the tyres you mention what make are they.
Ther was one on ebay a few months back that had 105 k on it and the motor hadnt been cracked open.

Coke or beer can ally. Perfect material for the job, doesn't rust, cheap and can be cut to size with normal scissors.

Cheers,
