In 1985 while working in Tonbridge one of these flew over where i was working on it's way to West Malling airfield it was only about 150 - 200 feet up and the sound of those four merlins on full chat is some thing i can still hear to this day, bloody fantastic, a couple of times a year i also get treated to a spitfire as they go into Rochester airfield which is only about a mile from my house.
