I don't do the Harley dress code or the HOG membership thing, know a few who do and they are just bike enthusiasts like us all, they do one thing very well they know how to organise a party and enjoy their social get-together's.
Guys who mock Harleys because of the stereotyped owner profile and incorrect idea that they wont go round a corner really need to try one, we have ridden around loads of mountain pass roads in the French Italian and Swiss Alps on our Fat Bob without a problem and always enjoyed them, including 6 passes in one day 7 hours on the road, also been round some of the same roads on a BMW 1200GS we owned a few years ago, defiantly prefer the more leisurely ride of the Harley, I don't care if it takes us a bit longer than the sport bike boys to get to the top.
For those who have not tried one why not get yourself off to the local dealership they are all very happy to get you out on demo bikes, I guarantee your view will be changed, for us the best Harley in the range is the FAT BOB, I am not a fan of the soft-tails mainly because of the lack of ground clearance and brakes, the Fat Bob handles better and stops better, having said all of that I recently tried the new 2018 Fat Boy with the 107 motor, sadly Harley have (probably due to emissions regs) lost the Harley feel, the motor especially but also the bike feels very like a Japanese copy Harley more like a H???A copy of a Harley than a REAL Harley, I wont be rushing to buy any Harley with either the 103 or 107 motor.
