Nice . I was a submariner but spent 2 days on the Ark as part of an exchange visit . It was a "see how the rest of the Navy lives" thing . I remember it as bloody big , I was lost for 2 days and glad to get back to what I knew. Happy days.

I remember catching Arc Royal by chance as it sailed under the Forth Road bridge heading for refit. I was so impressed I turned around and headed to Rosyth to see it dock.

being a modeller myself (WW2 1/35th tanks and AFV, figurines, 1/32 and 1/48 planes) I can only be flabbergasted by that model. It took him 25 years...how many times must he have thought to stop but continued anyway. It's amazing.
