NIce coffee table.

I would have to ride it but then it would not be new unregistered anymore.

Good for a collector, Mr Brett

Now that's something

I recall that the dealers couldn't shift them even at £700 or less, so who would thought-its a lovely piece no doubt

Yes, very nice but a waste of a bike - 'won't clean off the original dirt' (sorry patina) - I think someone has been watching too much 'Chasing Classic Cars'.

Send it round to me, i won't clean either, but it would be ridden as it should be, don't see the point of show ponies that my Mrs would sell when i croak.

Personally, I think this sort of thing is all a little bit sad. These bikes were supposed to be ridden, and ridden hard, but to box them up like this reminds me of 'Toy Story' and 'Stinky Pete' syndrome. Each to their own I suppose but if I had the money, I'd buy it and thrash the arse off it and then send the pics to the original owner!

I had maybe 5 KH250's before they became "iconic" and never had an issue of note in keeping any of mine in tune.

Once set up they ran OK.

The only thing I ever did was put in fuel and oil and wring their necks..... They were never quick, but that 3 pipe howl was worth 15mph anyway :)

I reckon he wants £12k for it. Hard to put a value on something like this?

Bit hard to see though what You would do with your £12K investment....

You couldn't really ride it as it would destroy the value with every mile you put on it. Also hard to see it doing much as a show bike given it's 'relative' poor condition, so it's really just a conversation piece, as you say a Coffee Table.
