Pick Me Up for those Up There

#1 PostAuthor: nicomkii » Sat Mar 03, 2018 12:27 pm

I hear you guys are having your fair share of chilly weather up there. No way could I ever fathom living in that sort of environment, even in our absolute worst weather it would pale into insignificance to what you guys suffer so thought I would give you a little light at the end of the tunnel as it were ------------

I think the English have always had short memory's regarding the weather could be a built in self preservation mode

and of course we love complaining its "to cold, to snowy, To wet, To rainy And to hot and sunny to ride a bike"

really its only be cause we have weather bucket loads of it and it changes from morning to afternoon and day to day

it takes a lot of practice and for thought to work it out

there is some thing very appealing about your Pic looks lovely and if it was not for the fact they only let you ride and 60 MPH (100kmh) it would be worth thinking about

I hear your nanny state is on over drive and being closely followed by ours :eek

no offence meant

Honestly I wasn't trying to rub it in, I figured you guys would be getting cabin fever so wanted to give you the reason why you have a Zed tucked away all ready for spring :D Honest...

As for 100kph..... on this side of the country we are spoilt and get an extra 10kph allowance and can cruise out in the country at 110kph or 68mph in your olden time currency....

This has got me thinking

were in the world can you ride as fast as you want and have lovely sunny weather that's not tarmac melting hot

I know Germany still has sections of no limited autobarn and of course they have the Nurburgring which is my second Home but not really the weather as its much the same as England a lot of the time

South of France has the roads and the weather but easy to get tickets which are not that bad if you compare it to laps at the Ring 29 euro a lap last year which makes a 90 Euro fine on the route Napoleon just over 3 laps, which makes it a Fun Tax

I was not really thinking of not needing to be doing 200 mph just riding at a good pace for the road which of course is a bit faster than the Nanny state speed limits and always a bonus if you don't get a ticket when having fun

Spanish side of the Pyrenees. Great empty roads. Did silly speeds and never saw a police car. Did go at speed limit in the towns though.
