Few weeks ago I bought myself a bargain, its the last model ZX9R, probably not be to a lot of folks taste, but 2 owners, silly low miles, very tidy and totally unmarked: oh and it goes pretty well too.

Sad and shocking to think that when Padgets of Batley delivered it about 3 weeks ago, in the van next to it was Bruce Anstey's TT superbike on the way down to Snetterton:- it was gorgeous - was chatting with the guy from Padgets race team about the TT, and then yesterday read that Bruce was very ill, multiple tumours on lungs and on his spine: poor guy. I guess it pays to live for today. Cheers Tim

Had a C1 in Candy Blue (best colour) from nearly new. Easily the best all round bike I've ever owned. it just did everything VERY well.

Sold it to a guy I know with around 12K mikes on the clock in 2002, and he owned it until last year when it was written off by the usual 'didn't see him' car.....by then It had nearly 90K on the clock.

Proper Bike.

I too had a C1 (green one) and I found it very fast with superb brakes.
The only minus point was in cold weather it would suffer carb icing.
You could add a silkolene additive to the fuel which resolved the problem.
I believe C2 and E models have some kind of heating to alleviate.

It is a great bike and the engine is fantastic.

That looks 'Mint'. I also had a C1 (Blue) K&N, Dynojet kit & race pipe produced 138bhp at the rear wheel. That bike had the potential to get you in to trouble far quicker than any of the ZZR1100's I've had. Sold it a few years back for next to nothing (sadly)
Very sad news about Bruce. :(
