A Non Zed Project
It’s not a Zed so I’ll post it here.. Ok so I decided it was a must buy! Because I obviously don’t have enough projects already and I needed another one. One which will be almost impossible to find parts for in the UK just to make it more fun.. but I’ve always had a thing for them! Ok it’s not a Zed but if your like me anything with a Kawasaki badge on it is interesting then you’ll get it..
So here goes on the start of what I believe is a KLT 200 A, still need to confirm exactly which one. It’s as rough as hell and is going to need a lot of work but will be a nice addition to the stable when done Mostly complete with the exception of the top plastic and the front light..

Re: A Non Zed Project
Well some progress on this one. Got everything stripped finally after lots of painful issues with stuck and rusted bolts etc. lots of heat and hammers helped! After spending a few hours cleaning up the mess and fixing a few broken pieces on the frame I think we’re good for blast and powder.
Back axle was a total nightmare too.. these guys had a lockable diff on them unlike the ATCs and this one had proper farm repairs.. one Hub welded on - no idea what the hub is off but it’s not from a KLT 200 as they were alloy. So that axle and hub is junk. The other side someone kindly welded the axle onto the inside gear.. so that’s junk too! Lots of broken gears in there too.. this is going to be an interesting project in more ways than one!

Nice project, but a bone shaker - judging by the lack of suspension, depending on where you use it.

Adrian correct but that’s why they only have a few psi in the tyres. Helps a little. But not all that much

Re: A Non Zed Project
Been a long time on this one! I got everything powder coated and been sourcing a lot of parts, but hard to find in the UK so I started buying and sending to a friend in Houston with the intention of someone from work taking a spare case on next trip! However for obvious reasons that never happened! Anyway jigsaw puzzle starting to get laid out and as soon as the shipment arrives from the US we should be good to start assembly!

Re: A Non Zed Project
Finally after many issues managed to get a back axle fully functional, this is a strange Kwak all the diff parts are imperial assuming it was commissioned to someone as a sub contractor in the US, so sourcing things has been a bit of a nightmare! Never mind it’s moving forward slowly!

Re: A Non Zed Project
Well this one is going slow slow but it’s taken some time to find parts and still a lot to find! Anyway we finally have a rolling chassis, brakes and fuel tank etc. Engine will go back together next but this is a side project so might be a while before the next update
Re: A Non Zed Project
Good to see this progressing Lee, could you fix the uploaded pics in the earlier posts so it makes it more complete?
Re: A Non Zed Project
Nice Lee would like to see the early pictures if you still have access to em just edit the original posts and re insert em
