Re: New Project
New projects arrived at weekend a 74 Suzuki GT750L and a Norton N15CS repatriated from USA few months ago and already
registered ,the GT750 will require my PA'S paperwork skills
The Norton runs but needs a lot of tidying and the tank etc will be of to Mr Dewis to be painted in original Red colour.
The GT750 i have had fired up today after a few wiring faults sorted and she sounds sweet ,bodywork is good enough to polish
up as is the chrome work so just a thorough check over good service and brake rebuild i hope but it's fingers crossed.
Hope you enjoy the piccies.
Norton on bench piccies are at the sellers he's a Kawasaki man three or four i forget Z1's all the triples and more

Re: New Project
Eyup Bill,
The GT looks really promising! I’ve restored a number of GT’s, two “J’s” and one “K”.
Not bad to work on once you get to know them! Nice project!

Re: New Project
Hey up Pete
I was hoping i could register it and do a rolling restoration after a going over but doesn't look like that will be the case at
the moment as it seems worse than described but thats life
The 64 Norton runs and i'm just cleaning out Fuel and Oil tanks then she'll be ready for a thrash round the peaks i think.

Re: New Project
I’m sure you’ll enjoy blasting round the hilly bits on the Norton!
Let me know how you get on with the GT!
Cheers

Spot on there Andy, crank seals were a bugger on kettles even when they weren't very old. Mate had one of the last B models (77 on an R plate) back in the very early 80's which had been stood for 18 months. Had to do the crank seals on it.

Re: New Project
Hi dj,, yes that's correct, as you've mention but also with a stayless front mudguard, brown faced clocks, black headlamp and ears, and slightly different decals.
