Just a couple of follow up photos of the carbs that I’ve stripped and rebuilt.

Just got to bench test and check float heights and then hopefully back out on the road!

I refitted all the original brass etc but changed every gasket, seal and the chewed up JIS screws.

I also re zinc plated the choke lever.

It’s the first time I’ve stripped a set of these and I have to say they’re really nicely made and put together! I like them!

Cheers.

Fitted stuff I bought an age ago. Set of std indicators I bought nearly 2 years ago at Stafford. Found that the relay fitted with the mini ones wouldn’t flash the indicators. A rummage around in an old box of bits I have had for 20 years yielded 2 relays one of which worked. Fitted a new seat lock. Had that a long time too. Fitted a fairing to the CBR 400rr, I’ve had for a year, to replace a cracked one.
Stripped some of the interior out of the MR2 before it goes to get new handbrake cables fitted. Petrol tank has to be dropped to do this task so I’ll leave that to the local garage
Still to do. Service the z1 and fit the Marving exhaust I’ve had for 6 months

Nice looking A65 BillP :luv . I still have mine from 35yrs ago. Slightly modified in a cafe racer style of the day, and a front end change so it stops:

On my Z1000A2 Plenty of polishing going on. I have fitted new tyres, and overhauled the brakes. Also got my new paint set back for my Z1000, which needs fitting, (Not for rivet counters or members of VJMC).
